Building Partnerships. Enhancing Understanding.

AUCA-Partnership

The Sons of Hedin Foundation’s partnership with the American University of Central Asia’s Journalism Department aims to increase local students understanding of activities within their community while providing a forum to share such discoveries with the rest of the world. Through our new partnership, students will be exposed to forms of new media and trained in a variety of journalism practices focused on enhancing writing and editorial skills. Each student will create, research and write their own stories, actively contributing to a more open dialogue on Greater Central Asia.

In cooperation with AUCA’s Journalism Department, our partnership aims to:

Strengthening Student’s Potential

  • Exposing students the power of new media and social networking.
  • Developing student’s writing and editorial skills in English.
  • Providing students with a forum to publish work.
  • Training students in professional journalism techniques.
  • Creating a supportive environment for students to explore their talents.
  • Building student’s ties to their community.
